Hi Internet! Rupert here. The lady person let me take over the blog today because I have a big announcement and I need some help. As you know, I do a lot of supermodeling around town. The lady person always says she likes to stay in an area called the "grid," so that is where I supermodel. I'm not sure what "grid" means, but I know that everywhere we go there are lots of metal boxes on wheels, lots of big buildings, and lots of something I don't like - TRASH.
It seems like every time we find a place for me to pose, the lady person has to tell me to wait a minute because she has to clean garbage out of our shot. The lady person saw that I was getting frustrated about this and told me I might be able to do something about it. "No way," I said, "how can a little pug without thumbs do anything about the trash in Sacramento?" We talked and came up with the start of a plan called Clean Up Your Act, Sacramento and I get to be the spokespug!
When we come across places where there is a lot of trash, I'm going to supermodel in the trash and the lady person is going to take pictures. Don't worry about me being around the trash, the lady person would never put me in a dangerous situation. Plus, she told me I will get double the treats for modeling with trash. After we get the pictures, the lady person is going to use the picture to make an ad, like you see below.
Now we get to the part where we need your help. If you live in Sacramento and see a place where there is a bunch of trash, post the location on the Clean Up Your Act, Sacramento Facebook page (be sure to "Like" the page too). Me and the lady person will rush out and take pictures, and likely pick up some trash while we are at it. Also, let me know if you have ideas about spreading the word about my new campaign, or ideas about how to get my city clean.
Thanks, Everyone!

I don't live anywhere near the area, but I completely LOVE the idea and message!!!!! I'll do my part by helping to spread the word! :@}
ReplyDeleteLMAO!! --> my captcha word: promis
Thanks, Buddy! Us pugs need clean walking areas...although, to be honest, I don't mind so much when the trash has tossed aside food in it, but I usually get in trouble when I go for that.

Our town must be micro-small, I never walk anywhere near any garbage, much less.....*GASP*.... tossed out food!! What silly humans!!!!!!
DeleteI shared your story/link with my pug group! Asked them all to pass the info on. :@}
I know, why would anyone ever want to throw food away!
DeleteBuddy, thanks so much for sharing our cause with your pug group!
Rupert, what a fantastic way to get humans to pick up after themselves. I near you in San Jose and we have the same problem.
ReplyDeleteLet me know how it goes.
Love Noodles
Hi Noodles! If this campaign takes off maybe I can take it national and hit San Jose with a pug clean-up force!

Rupert, you and your lady person rock. We're all the way on the East coast but we do our part and always pick up yucky trash on our walks too. It makes us sad to see trash :(
ReplyDeleteThanks for workin' the trash trouble on the West coast!
♥♥♥
Scarlet & Meredith
Hi Scarlet & Meredith! Thanks for being awesome on the East coast - I hope the lady person takes me there some day.

A super model such as yourself should not have to worry about things such as trash on a shoot. Sheesh! This campaign is great. Such a good idea, Rupert.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Payton
That's what I thought too, Payton! Well, let's hope this campaign works so there will be plenty of clean places for ALL dogs to supermodel.

Wow Rupert, this ad is an awesome start to your campaign. I like the way you look a tad annoyed in the shot, as you should when such trash is about. You're more than just a pretty face, you bring emotion to the shots! Keep up the good work, Rupert.
